This little place was a great find right across the Arno River snuggled in between two bars. Walking in, you see shiny silver lids covering all the Gelati flavors, tempting you to taste…I usually come here for fruity flavors, creamy flavors, or both! One of my favorite combos is Mascarpone Crema and Frutti Di Bosco or Pesca and Mango. But don’t stop at Gelato! Gelateria Vivaldi also has coffee, tea, cakes, cookies, and best of all, wine. If you walk through the doorway, past the Gelati counter, you will find a coffee and pasty counter. Then if you walk even further, you will find a beautiful and sexy sitting room. Scattered with printed chairs, leather couches, and eccentric looking cushions, this little chamber is truly a hidden gem. It’s equipped with high vaulted ceilings, Italian sculpture, and black and white photos of naked sculptures.

Gelateria Vivaldi is one of the most special places I have found yet in Florence. Also be sure to check out their Italian Coffee Introduction and Tastings, held every Tuesday from 3:00-4:30 pm!
